ABOUT Tawa Pizza (Healthy) RECIPE

Healthy pizza? Sounds weird! Yes but its true. As our kids love pizzas but we mothers always try to avoid this because its not a healthy option for them, but i have tried a little harder to make the pizza a healthy one. As summer holidays are going on and we can not deny our little ones. So here is a small treat for our kids.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Pizza base - 1
  2. Mozzarella cheese shredded 1 cup
  3. Onion medium sized, sliced 2
  4. Soya granules - 1 cup (first boil the granules for 10 minutes and strain them with fresh water)
  5. Boiled american corns - 1 cup
  6. Tomato ketchup - 2 tbsp
  7. Salt as per taste
  8. Oregano flakes - 1 tsp
  9. Chili flakes as per taste
  10. Butter for roasting the base 1 tbsp
  11. For pizza sauce:
  12. 3 Tomatoes
  13. Garlic 3 to 4
  14. 3 to 4 Cloves
  15. Oil - 1/2 tsp
  16. Sugar - 1 pinch
  17. Oregano flakes - 1/2 tsp
  18. Chilli flakes as per taste
  19. Salt as per taste

Instructions

  1. Take a wok add 1 tsp oil in it. Now add onions and a little salt (1 onion). Saute them till it turns translucent in color. Keep aside. Your fried onions are ready.
  2. In the same wok add another onion and saute it. Add granules in the onions. Add boiled corns and stir it well. Add salt,chili powder, oregano flakes and tomato ketchup. Stir it well for 5 to 7 minutes and keep aside.
  3. For pizza sauce- Take the tomatoes along with garlic cloves and blend them. Now in a wok, add oil and add the tomato garlic paste in it. Add sugar, salt, chili flakes and oregano flakes in the sauce. Stir it till it starts getting thick. Keep aside.
  4. For assemble the Pizza - On a tawa, add butter and put the base on it, let it roast. When the base turns golden, flip it and roast on the other side too. When the base turns a little crispy, turn off the flame and take the base off from the tawa.
  5. Start layering. First take the pizza sauce and spread it on the base. Then add the soya granules and corn. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on the top and lastly garnish it with your fried onions.
  6. Put the pizza in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes (till the cheese starts melting). Sprinkle some oregano and some chilli flakes also. Enjoy your healthy pizza hot.
