Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For batter
  2. rice 4 cup
  3. Urad dal 1 cup
  4. Masoor dal 1 cup
  5. Moong dal 1 cup
  6. Chana dal 1 cup
  7. For masala
  8. Chopped onion 1
  9. Chopped green chilli 3
  10. Chopped tomato 2
  11. For chutney
  12. Grated Milk coconut 1
  13. peanuts 250 gms
  14. jeera powder 2 tbs
  15. Curry leaves 1 cup
  16. yogurt 1 cup
  17. Chopped green chilli 2
  18. Coriandar leaves 1 cup
  19. sugar 1 tbs
  20. salt as per taste
  21. For tadka
  22. oil 2 tbs
  23. Mustard seeds 2 tbs
  24. jeera 2 tbs
  25. Curry leaves


  1. Soak the batter ingredients for about 6 hours
  2. After 6 hours grind all the daal and rice and make a thick batter combine all in one container add some salt and soda powder and let it remain as it is overnight
  3. After 6 hours add masala ingredient in a batter
  4. Heat a appa pan add some oil add batter add cook it on high flame for 1 minute then cook on low flame for 3 minutes
  5. Repeat the procedure for all batter
  6. For chutney put a tawa on heating, saute the peanuts for about 5 minute remove peanuts skin and allow them to cool
  7. In a grinder add jeera powder curry leaves coriander leaves and yogurt grind it to make fine paste
  8. Then add remaining ingredients of chutney and make a fine paste
  9. In a tadka pan add all oil the add all tadka ingredients make a crackle sound then put this in a chutney
  10. Serve it hot
