I prepared this cake especially for "BETTER BUTTER'S" 3rd anniversary.May they grow leaps and bounds.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For the base cake-
  2. 3 cups cake flour
  3. 2 cup butter at room temperature
  4. 2 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  5. 2 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  6. 3 teaspoon vanilla extract
  7. 6 eggs (large)
  8. Luke warm milk 1/2 to 3/4 cup
  9. Ingredients for gulab jamun layer-
  10. 12-14 gulab jamun
  11. ingredients for oreo layer-
  12. 8- 10 oreo cookies crumbled
  13. Ingredients for chocolate layer-
  14. 3 tablespoon cocoa powder
  15. For icing-
  16. 1 1/2 cup fresh chilled whipped cream
  17. 1-2 tablespoon powdered sugar
  18. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  19. For chocolate mousse ganache-
  20. 100 grams dark chocolate
  21. 100 ml cream
  22. Cherries,gulab jamun and oreo biscuit for decoration.


  1. Pre heat the oven at 200 degree centigrade and grease  three 7-inch cake pans.
  2. Sieve together the flour and baking powder 3 times.
  3. Separate egg white and egg yolk,beat the egg white with electric beater till light and fluffy.
  4. Now beat the butter, and add powder sugar little by little and beat till fluffy and light.
  5. Add yolk and vanilla extract to the creamed butter and beat well,now alternately add flour and beaten egg white little by little and beat with a electric beater.
  6. Add milk as required and beat the batter properly.
  7. Divide the  batter into 3 bowls.
  8. For gulab jamun layer add a thin layer of batter to the cake pan,on top of this thin layer line up gulab jamuns and then add the rest of the batter kept aside for this layer.
  9. For oreo layer just fold crumbled Oreo cookies into the batter and pour into the cake pan.
  10. And for the chocolate layer just fold cocoa powder into the batter and pour into the cake pan.
  11. Now bake then for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and done.
  12. And then cool a few minutes and then remove to a wire rack to cool completely.
  13. For chocolate mousse ganache,melt the chocolate, beat the cream till soft peaks stands erect,and then add melted chocolate and 2-3 tablespoon milk and mix well.
  14. For icing take chilled wipped cream,add sugar and vanilla extract in a bowl and beat till soft peaks are formed.
  15. To assemble the cake, place one layer of the cake on a cake stand spread a layer of icing cream on top and carefully place the second layer of cake on top repeat the process and add the last layer of cake on top.
  16. Frost the top of the cake with icing and add a thin layer to the sides of the cake. 
  17. Finally,drizzle with ganache and decorate with cherries, Oreo cookies and gulab jamun, and serve as needed.
