Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. Unsalted Butter 2 slabs
  2. Big vessel

Instructions

  1. 1.Take unsalted butter packs into the heavy bottomed pan and melt on medium flame. I have used aavin butter. Its good compared to other.
  2. 2. Keep stirring till the butter.
  3. 3.The butter will turn yellow in colour and white foam will start to form on the surface.
  4. 4. Within10 minutes the foam will slightly start to vanish and bubbles will increase
  5. 5.continue to boil on medium flame scrapping the sides to remove residues.
  6. 6.keep stirring in between till crystal clear bubbles are formed.
  7. 7. Homemade Pure Ghee is ready. The butter has turned to golden clear colour.
  8. 8.Turn off the flame and allow to cool to room temperature.
  9. 9.Filter the ghee and store in a container.
  10. 10.Some butter after its cooled, leaves milk residues at the bottom. But I don't get that in aavin butter.now with the help of sieve, slowly sieve the ghee into the jar separating milk residues.
  11. 11..the ghee turns to slightly yellowish solid once cooled completely. In tamil they say kurunai kurunai.
  12. Ghee
