Mango Crumb Bars

Ingredients to make Mango Crumb Bars

  • 1,1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 100 gm butter cold and cubed
  • 2 mangoes, cubed
  • 3/4 cup+ 2 tsp (optional) powderd sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 1 egg ( yolk)
  • 3-4 tbsp cornflour

How to make Mango Crumb Bars

  1. Assemble all the ingredients.
  2. In a food processor combine flour 3/4th Cup sugar baking powder and salt.
  3. Add in cold cubed butter and egg and Pulse till crumbs form.
  4. Transfer the crumbs from mixer grinder to a bowl.
  5. In another bowl combine mango pieces, remaining sugar and corn flour.
  6. Grease an glass baking dish with butter.
  7. Pour in 2/3rds of the crumb mixture and press firmly into the bottom.
  8. Pour mangoe mixture over top.
  9. Then top with remaining crumbs.
  10. Bake in a preheated 180 degree Celsius oven for 30-35 minutes.
  11. Let cool and then serve.
