Ingredients to make Braided burger buns

  • all purpose flour / Maida - 3 1/2 cup
  • water-1cup
  • Milk-1/4cup
  • Dry active yeast-3tsp
  • sugar-1&1/2tb so
  • salt-2tsp
  • oil-3tb sp

How to make Braided burger buns

  1. Take water + milk in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave it for 10 to 20 sec. It should get nice a warm..Should be luke warm. Now add sugar to it and mix well. Now sprinkle over yeast and let it sit for 5 mins till it is activated.
  2. Pour the dry ingredients +oil+wet ingredients in the bowl Now knead this for a good 5 mins till the dough is soft and springy. Cover it and let it rest for 1 to 1.5 hour till it is doubled in size. Now knock back the air and knead once. Flatten it and divide it into equal portion.
  3. You can even braid the dough or do it in any shape. Arrange this in a parchment lined baking tray and cover it fr 30 mins till it puffed and doubled in size.
  4. Preheat the oven to 200 degree C.Now brush the top of the buns with some milk . Now bake this for 15 mins. Remove it and brush it with butter. let it cool a little before serving.

My Tip:

You can use egg for make it more softer. mine is eggless version.
