Pulihora is traditional recipe of south indians...well served as prashads in many temples..in hot climate or cold...there are very less chance of pulihora getting spoiled as it has lots of tamarind juice

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 bowl cooked rice
  2. Oil 2 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds 1tsp
  4. Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  5. Curry leaves few
  6. Dry Red chillies 2
  7. Chana daal 2 tsp
  8. Peanuts 2 tsp
  9. Tamarind pulp 1 cup
  10. Turmeruc 1 tsp
  11. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a wok..Add cumin and mustard seeds,chana daal, peanuts and roast till they are brown in colour
  2. Now add curry leaves, turmeric,red chilli and 1 cup water,1 cup tamarind pulp and boil for 15 min till the peanuts and daal have become soft ..
  3. Now add the cooked rice and mix well...cook for 10 min as all the ingredients get blended well with in rice...
  4. Serve it.
