ABOUT Chainsoo RECIPE

Normally chainsoo is prepared with whole urad daal but i prepared with split urad daal. The daal when roasted and prepared is easy to digest

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Split urad daal...1 cup
  2. Salt and green or red chillies to taste
  3. Red chilly powder....,1/4 tea spoon
  4. Turmeric powder....1/4 tea spoon
  5. Coriander powder....2/2 tea spoon
  6. Adafoetida....1 pinch
  7. Garam masala....1/2 tea spoon
  8. Black pepper....4
  9. Cumin seed....1/2 tea spoon
  10. Garlic....4 pods
  11. Oil or ghee....1 table spoon

Instructions

  1. Wash daal nicely
  2. Put it in seive
  3. Spread it on cloth
  4. Dry roast daal and grind to a coarse powder
  5. In a woke add ghee and put chopped garlic , cumin seed, asafoetida and whole red chillies
  6. After cooking for a while, add daal powder with salt, turmeric powder and 4 cups of water
  7. Cook covered till done. It will tAke about 25 minutes. Enjoy
