Zebra Cake

Ingredients to make Zebra Cake

  • flour 1 cup
  • Condensed milk 3/4 cup
  • Milk 2 tbsp
  • Baking Powder 1 tsp
  • baking soda 1/2 tsp
  • Cocoa powder 1 tbsp
  • Refined oil 2 1/2 tbsp
  • Vanilla extract 1 tsp

How to make Zebra Cake

  1. Mix flour, baking powder and baking soda by passing them through a sieve.
  2. To the condensed milk add the oil and whisk thoroughly.
  3. Add the dry ingredients to this mixture and beat until smooth. The mixture should be of pouring consistency, so add a bit of milk if required.
  4. Now divide this mixture into two equal parts.
  5. To one part add the cocoa powder and mix well. Leave the other part as it is.
  6. Now take a baking tin and grease it with butter.
  7. Take 2 tbsp of the vanilla mixture and pour it in the centre of the baking bowl. Now take 2 tbsp of the chocolate mixture and pour it in the middle of the bowl. Keep repeating this procedure by pouring the mixtures alternately till you are finished with both of the mixtures.
  8. Bake at high power for 5 minutes or till a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

My Tip:

Tap the baking bowl on the sides to bring out any air bubbles that are trapped inside.
