Lemony Fiesta Dessert is a very popular continental dessert cuisine. It is a cake and custard mix dessert with lemony flavor. Here I have made a deconstructed version of the lemony fiesta dessert by using a sponge cake layered with vanilla ice cream and topped with my homemade lemony fiesta dessert sauce. This is a very simple and easy sauce that does not have eggs, butter or artificial yellow food color. Instead it contains the natural, earthy and exotic flavors of raw turmeric, fresh lemon rind and honey. The inspiration of using raw turmeric came from Chef Kunal Kapur recipe of turmeric kulfi and the idea of deconstructed lemony fiesta dessert from Chef Sanjeev Kapoor blog.
