About Roti Patra Recipe

Very tasty snack made from left over roti.

Roti Patra

Ingredients to make Roti Patra

  • Leftover rotis 3
  • For batter:-
  • besan 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1 tablespoon
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • curd 2 tablespoon
  • jaggery ( melted in little water) 1 tablespoon
  • oil 1 tablespoon
  • Sodabicarb 1 pinch
  • For tadka:-
  • oil 2 tablespoon
  • mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  • sesame seeds 2 tablespoon
  • Other ingredients:-
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  • lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon

How to make Roti Patra

  1. Mix besan with all ingredients mentioned in " for batter ".
  2. Mix well and make slightly thick batter with enough water.
  3. Take a roti, apply prepared batter over it. Put other roti over it, apply batter. P FCut third roti over it and apply batter over it too.
  4. Fold this three layered rotis and make roll. Apply batter over it too.
  5. Steam for 15-20 minutes in steamer.
  6. Then cut into pieces.
  7. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds. When crackles add sesame seeds.
  8. Add roti Patra pieces and roast for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Squeeze lemon and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Enjoy hot.
