ABOUT Roti Patra RECIPE

Very tasty snack made from left over roti.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Leftover rotis 3
  2. For batter:-
  3. Besan 1/2 cup
  4. Salt to taste
  5. Red chili powder 1 tablespoon
  6. Garam masala powder 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Curd 2 tablespoon
  8. Jaggery ( melted in little water) 1 tablespoon
  9. Oil 1 tablespoon
  10. Sodabicarb 1 pinch
  11. For tadka:-
  12. Oil 2 tablespoon
  13. Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
  14. Sesame seeds 2 tablespoon
  15. Other ingredients:-
  16. Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
  17. Lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon

Instructions

  1. Mix besan with all ingredients mentioned in " for batter ".
  2. Mix well and make slightly thick batter with enough water.
  3. Take a roti, apply prepared batter over it. Put other roti over it, apply batter. P FCut third roti over it and apply batter over it too.
  4. Fold this three layered rotis and make roll. Apply batter over it too.
  5. Steam for 15-20 minutes in steamer.
  6. Then cut into pieces.
  7. In a pan heat oil, add mustard seeds. When crackles add sesame seeds.
  8. Add roti Patra pieces and roast for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Squeeze lemon and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Enjoy hot.
