About Schezwan sauce Recipe

it is a spicy Chinese sauce recipe which is used in many Chinese cuisine

Schezwan sauce

Ingredients to make Schezwan sauce

  • dried red chilli 50 grams
  • Chopped garlic cloves 15
  • finely chopped ginger 1 teaspoon
  • tomato ketchup to teaspoon
  • dark soya sauce one tablespoon
  • white vinegar 2 tablespoon
  • honey one teaspoon
  • sugar one teaspoon
  • hot water 200 ml
  • normal water 100 ml
  • white oil 5 tablespoon

How to make Schezwan sauce

  1. firstly soaked The Red Chillies in hot water overnight
  2. after that make a fine paste of the Red Chillies
  3. place a pan on high heat
  4. then add 5 tablespoons white oil to it
  5. Then add finely chopped garlic and Ginger when the oil become hot
  6. Saute the ginger and garlic
  7. then add the red Chili paste
  8. mix the red chilli paste with the garlic and ginger and sauted well
  9. then turn the heat into medium flame and cover the pan with A lid for 15 min
  10. after 15 minute take out the lid and cook the mixture well
  11. then add soya sauce tomato ketchup and vinegar to it
  12. mix the ingredients well to the mixture
  13. after that add sugar honey and salt to taste
  14. then cook the red chilli paste for 5 minutes
  15. after that at 100ml normal water & bring it to A boil
  16. boil the mixture till the sauce get its perfect thickness
  17. when it will become much thick& takes a flowing consistency turn off the heat & put the sauce into A airtight glass jar for preservation
  18. use the sauce in any chinese gravy or use it as A dip

My Tip:

Please cover your hand with gloves while paste the red chillies
