ABOUT Sweet potato Strawberry Halva RECIPE

Blessed is the very mildly sweet Hersheys strawberry syrup which made so many things we cant manage to make our family have,is now possible to serve .Here I used the Strawberry syrup to flavour my Sweet potato halva with some semolina base to bind.Parfait it with cream and you have a great indo western halva parfait ready.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1/2 cup semolina
  2. 1/2 cup Hersheys strawberry syrup
  3. 2 pieces of Sweet potato boiled mashed
  4. 2-4 tblspn fresh cream
  5. 1/2 cup sugar
  6. 3 tblspns ghee
  7. 1tblspn Silvered Almonds
  8. Some pistachio blanchedchopped


  1. Keep ingredients handy
  2. Heat 2 tblspn ghee in a pan and roast semolina,do not brown
  3. Add 1/2 cup sugar
  4. Mix well ,add 2 cups water stir quick
  5. Add the mashed sweet potato now mixing all well
  6. Add the Hershey's strawberry syrup now
  7. Mix stir well ,add some almonds
  8. Cool on slow as it separates from pan easily
  9. Cool aside
  10. Prepare goblet glass if possible,by adding 1tspn syrup at base
  11. Add scoops full of Halva into these,scooping cream on them and a ball of halva on the cream
  12. On this some strawberry syrup to top again
  13. 1 tspn of cream on each serving again,with garnish of pistachios
  14. Put in the fridge an serve chilled
  15. Let your people guess the contents
