Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Oats 4 tablespoon
  2. Suji 4 tablespoon
  3. Chana dal 2 tablespoon
  4. Water 1 1/2 cup
  5. Salt 2 teaspoon
  6. Eno 1 packet
  7. Oil 4 tablespoon
  8. Kasturi methi 2 teaspoon


  1. In a bowl add suji and salt and mix well and keep it aside.
  2. Now in a pan add oats and saute it till it changes its colour to golden.
  3. Now make its powder by grinding it in the grinder.
  4. Now add this powder to suji mixture and mix and keep aside
  5. Now in a pan add 1 teaspoon oil and cook the chana dal and methi till its changes its colour to goldenish.
  6. Now take water and add into the suji mixture don't add full water. Add into batches so that you can check its consistency.
  7. Now add dal and kasturi methi in to the better and mix with spatula.
  8. Now add eno at the end and then mix well and fold the better to one direction.
  9. Now grease the idli tray and put 1 1 tablespoon better so the over flow will not happen.
  10. Now steam it for 14 to 16 minutes and check after 14 minute with toothpic.
  11. Once ready surve with cutney or sauce.
