Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Milk - 3 cup
  2. Caster sugar - 1/2 cup
  3. Corn flour - 1/2 cup
  4. Lemon rind of one lemon
  5. Melted butter - 1 tsp (for greasing)
  6. Egg - 1-2
  7. Gluten free Breadcrumb - 2 cups
  8. Corn flour - 1/3 cup (for dusting)
  9. Oil - for frying

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan take 2 and 1/2 cup of milk and add lemon rind into it.
  2. Let it come to boil in medium flame.
  3. Just before boiling add the sugar.
  4. Stir it until the sugar dissolve completely.
  5. Turn the flame into low. Let it boil for about 12-15 minutes.
  6. Get ready a small baking pan greased with some butter and set aside for later use.
  7. Meantime take a bowl and mix the remaining 1/2 cup of milk and corn flour together.
  8. Make a lump free mixture.
  9. Now take out the lemon rinds from the milk.
  10. Add the milk and corn flour mixture into the boiling milk.
  11. Immediately start to stir and have to stir continuesly.
  12. After few minutes it will transform into a thick mixture.
  13. Put the flame off immediately.
  14. Now pour the thick mixture into the greased pan.
  15. Let it become in room temperature.
  16. Then wrap it with a kitchen cling wrap.
  17. Chill it for 3 hours.
  18. Use a knife to loosen the each side of pan.
  19. Flip over on a plate and tap over back. It will come out easily.
  20. Slice them as your wish.
  21. In a bowl take the egg and beat well.
  22. Another bowl take cornflour.
  23. Another bowl take bread crumbs.
  24. Take a slice of milk and roll first into cornflour
  25. Now dip in the beaten egg.
  26. Finally roll into breadcrumbs.
  27. Repeat the same process with rest of the milk slices.
  28. Heat oil in a wide pan.
  29. Fry those breadcrumb coated milk slices.
  30. Fry until they turn into golden brown colour.
