A fusion recipe I tried at home .... A tangy twist given to your usual macaroni...

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Macaroni pasta - 200 gms
  2. Onion- 1 big finely chopped
  3. MTR- Tamarind rice powder- 1 tbspn(adjust to taste)
  4. Mustard Seeds- 1 tspn
  5. Split urad dal- 1 tspn
  6. Curry leaves - few
  7. Peanuts roasted - 1 tbspn
  8. Coconut oil- 1 tbspn
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Green chilly - 1 finely chopped
  11. Ginger- 1/2 inch finely chopped
  12. Dry Red chilly - 1

Instructions

  1. Keep water to boil in a vessel...Put little salt ...
  2. After the water boils add the macaroni
  3. Let it boil for a few minutes....
  4. Now strain the boiled pasta and keep it aside
  5. Now heat a kadhai/pan....Put oil in it ...And then add mustard seeds and split urad dal..... Let it splutter...Then put dry red chilly broken....
  6. Now add the curry leaves,chopped ginger and green chilly....
  7. Saute for a minute....Then add the chopped onion...Fry for two minutes....
  8. Picture of the puliogare powder brand I used...
  9. Now put little salt and puliogare powder
  10. Stir well
  11. Then add the boiled macaroni
  12. Mix carefully till it gets coated well... Garnish with some roasted peanuts.....
  13. Serve hot with a cup of coffee
