ABOUT Rava uttapam RECIPE

When you want to make quick and easy dosa you can opt rava uttapam. Veggies help most of those little ones who hate to eat it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For rava batter:
  2. 1 cup rava (chiroti rava)
  3. 1 cup curd
  4. 1/4th cup water to make semi-thick batter
  5. Little salt
  6. For veggies mixture :
  7. Finely chopped 1 onion
  8. Finely chopped 1 tomato
  9. 1 grated carrot.
  10. 3 Tbsp capsicum
  11. 1 tbsp pepper powder
  12. 1 tsp cumin powder
  13. 1 tsp red chilly powder
  14. Salt to taste
  15. oil for cooking


  1. In a bowl add rava, curd and water, mix it well and keep it aside for 30 minutes. In an another bowl add all veggies, salt, 1 Tbsp black pepper powder, 1 tsp chilli powder and 1 tsp cumin powder. Mix well and keep aside. Place dosa tawa on gas stove and heat it. Once it s heated add little oil and grease full tawa pour rava mixture in middle of tawa. On top of rava mixture add veggie mixture and spread it with hand ( Don't worry your hand will not burn. If you are not comfortable with it thn using normal spatula method you can make uttapam).
  2. Roast both sides well by applying little oil. Now uttapam is ready to serve.
