Ingredients to make Chitti garelu

  • urad dal 1 cup
  • water as needed
  • Rice flour 2 cups
  • hing 1 pinch
  • oil to deep fry
  • sesame seeds 2 tsp
  • cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • salt as needed

How to make Chitti garelu

  1. Firstly soak the urad dal and water for 4-5 hours
  2. Now take it into a mixi jar and make a fine paste
  3. Now take it into a bowl
  4. And add salt, Sesame seeds, cumin seeds ,hing
  5. Now add rice flour until it forms a stiff dough
  6. Now make it into small balls
  7. Now take a wet cloth and keep the balls and close with other end of cloth with help of glass press until it becomes flat
  8. Now heat the oil
  9. And add them and deep fry and serve
