About OMURICE Recipe

Omurice is a Japanese fusion food with omelette and rice combination. In this recipe fried rice is wrapped in the egg omelette. We can also make this with Left over rice. It is a good breakfast as well as school of office snack.

Ingredients to make OMURICE

  • To making rice
  • Plain rice 2 cups
  • Chopped carrot 1 cup
  • Chopped capsicum 1 cup
  • chop tomato 1 cup
  • Green peas 1 cup
  • small chicken cube 200 grams
  • Chopped onion 1 cup
  • ginger paste 1 tablespoon
  • garlic paste 1 tablespoon
  • Soya sauce 2 table spoon
  • Black pepper powder 1 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
  • white oil as needed
  • For omelette
  • 2 eggs
  • black pepper powder one teaspoon
  • salt as per taste
  • white oil as needed

How to make OMURICE

  1. heat enough oil in a kadai for making rice.
  2. now add onion and saute till soften.
  3. now add garlic paste, ginger paste and salt. Again saute for some time
  4. then and vegetables and fry well.
  5. after frying vegetables add chicken and green peas.
  6. now add turmeric powder, soya sauce, black pepper powder. Mix well.
  7. now slow down the flame and cover with lid until chicken are cooked.
  8. after that add cooked plain rice.
  9. Gently mix well everything.
  10. once done transfer the rice in another plate.
  11. for making omelette heat about 2 tablespoon of oil in kadai.
  12. whisk 2 eggs with salt and black pepper powder.
  13. pour the mixture in kadai and spread as much you can.
  14. Slow the flame until egg cooked.
  15. Our omelette ready.
  16. Pour rice in one side of omelette. Fold and cover with another side. It's Omurice.
  17. Or you can serve with twist like mine with tomato sauce..

My Tip:

Tomato sauce is must at the time of serving.
