Poha is very famous breakfast from middle of India. It's very light and quick ready breakfast and when it comes with usal it become more healthy and testy

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 2 cup Poha
  2. 2 spoon oil
  3. 1 choped onion
  4. 2-3 choped green chillies
  5. 1 chopped potato
  6. 1/2 cup peas
  7. 8-10 curri leaves
  8. 1 tsp Mustard seed
  9. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  10. 1/2 tsp fennel seeds
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  12. Salt as per tast
  13. Red chilli powder as per tast
  14. Corriender
  15. Lemon juice
  16. For usal
  17. 1 cup sprout moth or Moong
  18. 3 tsp oil
  19. 1 small onion
  20. 1 tsp Ginger garlic pest
  21. 2 tsp red chilli powder
  22. 1/2 tsp garam masala
  23. Pinch of Asafetida


  1. Wash poha and let it rest for 10 min.
  2. Now add turmeric, salt, sugar, and lemon juice. Mix it well and keep ready
  3. In a kadai heat oil, add mustard seed, cummin and fennel seeds and hing
  4. Once mustard seeds are splattered add potatoes and let it cook
  5. Add onion, peas or peanut seeds, green chillies curry leaves. Let it cook till onion become transparent
  6. Now add poha, cook it with cover for 5-8 min. Poha ready
  7. For usal heat kadai add oil, add onion, garlic and ginger pest
  8. Once onion are cooked and light golden brown, add all spices and mix well,add tomatoes and let it cook until tomatoes get tender
  9. Add boiled sprouted moth or moong cook for 5-6 min
  10. Serve poha with ready usal garnish with corriender, namkin sev, row onion serve imidiatly
