Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Chopped pineapple - 1 1/2 cup
  2. Dry Fig or Anjir chopped - 1/2 cup
  3. Garlic cloves - 8
  4. Ginger chopped finely - 1 tsp
  5. Curry leaves - 8
  6. Green chillies chopped - 3
  7. Whole Pepper - 8
  8. Red chilli powder - 3 tbsp
  9. Fenugreek powder - 1 tsp
  10. Aesafoitida - 1 tsp
  11. Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
  12. Sugar - 1 tbsp
  13. Salt as per taste
  14. Sesame seed oil - 4 tbsp
  15. Vinegar - 2 tbsp


  1. Let's assemble our ingredients first.
  2. Add sugar and salt in pineapple and mix well.
  3. After 5 mins squeeze out all the juice from pineapple.
  4. In a pan on high flame take oil and add mustard seeds.
  5. When mustard starts to crackle add green chillies, garlic, ginger, pepper and curry leaves. Cook these till curry leaves become crispy and all the raw smell from other ingredients is gone.
  6. Reduce the flame and add red chilli powder, fenugreek powder and aesafoitida. Cook for few seconds on low flame.
  7. Now add the chopped Anjir and stir well.
  8. After 2 mins add the pineapple juice and cook the Anjir.
  9. After 5 mins add the pineapple pieces. Adjust the salt at this stage if needed. Cook well for 5 mins and then add vinegar.
  10. Let it dry up very well and our pineapple Anjir Pickle is ready to be served with hot rice, chapati or thepla.
