ABOUT Niaz- Bo Yogurt Dip RECIPE

Niaz bo plant is a leafy herb belonging to mint family. Niaz bo also called sweet basil. It is commanly used as a spice but people don't realize that the plant has health benefits as well. It is consumed in different forms ie. Fresh leaves juice, dried powder or herbal tea. It have antiseptic properties which help in reducing the pain. It resolves the digestion problems like Diarrhea and Dysentery. It is a blood purifier and remove toxins from the body. Niaz bo and yogurt is a healthy combination. This dip is prepare with curd, niaz -bo, garlic, and seasoned with other spices.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. curd 250 gm
  2. Niaz bo leaves one cup (washed)
  3. garlic cloves 2-3
  4. One finally chopped onion
  5. One green chilly
  6. salt half teaspoon
  7. cumin powder half teaspoon
  8. lemon juice one


  1. Add niaz bo leaves, green chilly, onion, Garlic, salt and lemon juice in a grinder. Grind it in to smooth paste.
  2. Add curd and cumin powder in it. Blend it for a while.
  3. It's ready. This dip goes well with chips, nachos and sandwiches.
