Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Maida 1 cup
  2. Warm water 1/3cup + 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  3. Sugar 1 tbsp
  4. Salt 1/2tsp (as per taste)
  5. Olive oil(any oil) 3 tbsp
  6. Yeast 1 tbsp
  7. Minced garlic 1 tbsp
  8. Milk wash as required
  9. butter for brushing

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 355F or 180C
  2. Combine yeast and sugar in a bowl. Add warm water and mix well. leave aside until frothy.
  3. Take flour on worktop, add salt, yeast mixture, mix to make a sticky, soft, paste kind of dough. If your dough does not turn out to be a sticky, soft, paste kind of mass, add more water to make it so. Once the sticky mass of pastry dough is formed, add the oil and start kneading the dough. Knead this for 15 mins, by that time this pastry dough would form into a kind of ball of dough. Do Not add any flour or anything, just keep kneading for 15 mins.
  4. Once kneaded, transfer to a greased bowl, cover and keep it in a warm place for 30 min or doubled in size. Once the dough is double in volume, take it down to your dusted working surface and add garlic, 2 tblsp oil knead again to a soft dough.
  5. Divide dough into equal portions shaped into round or any desired shapes. Grease Baking tray with oil , place prepared rolls on it and cover and keep it in warm place for 30 min or till doubled in size.
  6. Apply milk wash and put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 min. Brush the baked rolls with brush and serve immediately.
