Its winter special recipe, made with gur, ghee and nuts which are good in winter

Jaggery Rice

Ingredients to make Jaggery Rice

  • 250 GM basmati rice, 250 GM jaggery, 5 tblspn design ghee
  • Green cardamom - 8-10, dry coconut 50 GM, raisin 100 GM, orange color 1/2 tsp

How to make Jaggery Rice

  1. Soak rice 15 mints (if basmati); boil rice 80 % with 2-3 crushed cardamom,1 inch cinnamon stick and color. Strain rice Nd sprinkle cold water.
  2. Make jaggery syrup for this add ghee, heat ghee add crushed green cardamom Nd pieces of coconut saute it for few seconds now turn to add jaggery stir it well.
  3. Now put 1/2 cup water to make syrup, boil it for 5 mints.
  4. Add boil rice and raisins stir it well cover it until absorb water properly.
  5. Garnish grated coconut.
