This ix do simple traditional odia style motton curry which can be cooked with potatoes and is so comfortable to make.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Motton -250 gm
  2. Medium sized potato -2
  3. Onion chopped-1
  4. Mustard oil-4 tsp
  5. Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  6. Salt as per taste
  7. Chopped tomato -1
  8. Sugar-1/2 tsp
  9. Masala paste ( 1 big onion, 8-9 cloves of garlic,1 inch ginger,1 chilli,1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 inch cinnamon )
  10. Chilli powder-1 tsp
  11. Water-2 cup

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth paste of masala by grinding all the ingredients.
  2. Heat a pressure cooker and put oil in it and add sugar in it and when it becomes caramelize then add the chopped onion in it.
  3. When it becomes translucent then add the masala paste in it and saute it for sometime and then add other masala powder in it along with the salt.
  4. Then add the chopped tomato in it and cook it for sometime and then add the Motton in it and cook it for 5-7 minute and then add the chopped potatoes in it .
  5. Cook it for sometime and then add water and cover the lid and cook it till 4-5 whistle in low flame.
  6. Now switch off the flame and the motton aloo jhol is now ready to serve.
  7. Serve hot with rice.
