Umm Ali

Ingredients to make Umm Ali

  • 1 tin of Nestle Condensed sweetened milk
  • 8 pieces of croissants
  • 3 tbsp of flaked almonds, raisins, pistachios and walnuts
  • 2 tbsp of dessicated coconut
  • 1 tsp of vanilla essence
  • 4 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of whipped cream

How to make Umm Ali

  1. Cut pieces of croissants and place it in a baking dish. Add chopped flakes of some nuts and desiccated coconut over it.
  2. Take lukewarm milk and add Nestle Condensed sweetened milk to it and mix it well. When it cools add vanilla essence to it and keep it aside.
  3. Add more pieces of croissants over the first layer before adding the milk. Pour milk mixture over it and let the croissants swim. Spread the whipped cream over it evenly. Sprinkle some powdered sugar over it.
  4. Preheat the oven at 200 degree centigrade. Bake it for 20 - 25 minutes till you get a nice brown crusty color.

My Tip:

You can use stale croissants for better results.
