ABOUT Bread Pakora RECIPE

This is a wonderful breakfast munch.The breads stuffed with spicy tangy potato mixture & green chutney then enclosed in batter to give a perfect crisp snacker.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Potato Filling: 4-5 Pieces Boiled Potatoes
  2. 1 Piece Green Chilli
  3. 3 Tablespoons Chopped Cilantro
  4. 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  5. 1 Teaspoon Amchur Powder
  6. 1 Cup Mint-Coriander Green Chutney (Optional)
  7. 1 Teaspoon Salt
  8. Besan Batter: 2 Cups Besan
  9. 1 Teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  10. 1 Teaspoon Garam Masala
  11. 1 Teaspoon Ajwain
  12. Water to mix batter
  13. Salt to taste
  14. Oil for frying
  15. 6 Slices Breads
  16. A pinch of Hing

Instructions

  1. For Potato Filling: Boil the potatoes. peel and mash them when they are warm. To mashed potatoes, add and mix coriander leaves, green chili, red chili powder, amchur powder and salt.
  2. For Besan Batter: In Besan add ajwain, red chili powder, garam masala powder, asafoetida and salt. Add water for the desired consistency. Check for the seasoning. Add few drops of oil in the batter and keep it aside.
  3. For Assembling Bread Pakora: Slice the bread into triangular slices Apply chutney on one side of triangular bread Apply mashed potato mixture evenly on the bread Cover this slice with another slice
  4. Dip into besan batter to coat the breads. Deep fry pakora in hot oil on medium flame till crisp and golden brown. Enjoy with Tea or Coffee.
