ABOUT Muhallabia with pomegranate syrup RECIPE

Muhallabia is a traditional middle eastern this recipe i have used pomegranate syrup for a healthy version and a twist to normal rose syrup

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. For syrup:Pomegranate 1 big
  2. sugar 1/4 cup
  3. Corn flour 1 tsp
  4. lemon juice 1 tsp
  5. For muhallabia:
  6. Milk 2 cups +1/4 cup
  7. Corn flour 3 tbsp
  8. sugar 1/2 cup
  9. Rose water 1 tsp
  10. Mixed crushed nuts to decorate


  1. First grind pomegranate without water to get the juice
  2. Strain and keep aside
  3. In a pan add corn flour+sugar mix well and add pomegranate juice
  4. Add lemon juice rose water
  5. Cook until thickend
  6. Syrup is ready
  7. For muhallabia,Take 1/4 cup milk and add corn flour and mix without lumps
  8. In a pan add 2 cups milk and add sugar and the corn flour mix and mix well and stir ocassionaly until the milk boils and thickened
  9. Keep in serving dish and refregirate for 1 hour
  10. After its well set,add the pomegranate syrup on top
  11. Garnish with mixed crushed nuts
  12. Tasty and healthy muhallabia with pomegranate syrup is ready
  13. Serve chilled
