Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. For tha kofta---
  2. 5 eggs hard boiled and peeled and kept aside
  3. 500 gms boneless chicken keema
  4. salt to taste
  5. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  6. 1 tsp garam masala powder
  7. 1/2 tsp black pepper powder
  8. 3 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
  9. 4-5 green chillies finely chopped
  10. 1 tbsp cornflour for binding
  11. 2 tbsp chopped onion
  12. 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
  13. 1 egg but use half
  14. oil for fry
  15. For carry---
  16. 5 tbsp refined oil
  17. 1 Stick cinnamon
  18. 4 cardamom
  19. 4 cloves
  20. 3 tbsp fried onion paste
  21. 1 1/2 tsp ginger Garlic Paste
  22. salt to taste
  23. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  24. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  25. 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  26. 3 tbsp cashewnut paste
  27. 2 tbsp curd
  28. 3 tbsp tomato puree
  29. 1 tsp coriander powder
  30. 1/4 tsp milk or water
  31. 2-3 tbsp freshly chopped coriander leaves


  1. In a food processor blend chicken keema very well to make it soft and tender..
  2. Transfer it in a bowl,add turmeric powder,salt,chilli powder,green chilli,pepper powder,garam masala powder,coriander leaves,egg,cornflour,onion,ginger garlic paste.mix it very nicely using hands.
  3. Divide the mixture into five parts.
  4. Put same oil in your plam and take one portion of keema mixture and pat it to form like a chapati.
  5. Place a hard boil egg in between the flatten keema mixture and cover the egg with it..
  6. Dab some flour over tha koftas.
  7. Heat the oil for deep frying in a deep pan.
  8. Place in hot oil and deep fry until goldren brown..
  9. For carry--
  10. Add refined oil in a pan and add cinnamon,cardamom,cloves.
  11. When flavour emits add ginger garlic paste saute for 2 min.
  12. Then add tomato puree..
  13. Add kashewnut paste,curd,coriander powder,chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala powder,salt and fried onine paste.
  14. Mix it properly and let it cook.
  15. Add 1/4 cup milk or water.cook on medium flame for 3 min..
  16. Add deep fried nargisi koftas into it,cook the gravy and the koftas for 20 min on low flame by covering lid.
  17. Garnish the koftas and the gravy with fresh coriander leaves.
  18. Serve hot with rice or paratha..
