ABOUT Tofu Changezi RECIPE

Tofu cooked with gram flour and yoghurt.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Tofu- 400gms
  2. Yoghurt- 110gms
  3. Gram flour- 2 tsp
  4. Ginger paste- 2 tsp
  5. Garlic paste- 2 tsp
  6. Chaat masala- 1/2 tsp
  7. Turmeric- 1 tsp
  8. Green cardamom- 3
  9. Cloves- 4
  10. Black peppercorns- 6
  11. Dry red chilli- 2
  12. Bay leaf- 2
  13. Onion- 200gms
  14. Red chilli powder- 1/2 tsp
  15. Coriander powder- 2 tsp
  16. Cumin powder- 1 tsp
  17. Milk- 100ml
  18. Nutmeg powder- 1/4 tsp
  19. Kasuri meehi- 1 tsp
  20. Garam masala- 1 tsp
  21. Coriander- for garnish
  22. Salt- according to taste
  23. Oil
  24. Water
  25. Tomato puree- 2 tsp

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl add gram flour, tofu, 60gms yoghurt, ginger- garlic paste, Chaat masala, turmeric and salt and mix it well.
  2. 2. Marinate for 20 mins
  3. 3. Heat some oil in pan, add marinated tofu, and cook until it turns Brown in colour.
  4. 4. Remove from heat and keep tofu aside
  5. 5. Now add oil in pan, add cardamom, cloves-, peppercorn s, dry red chilli, Bay leaf and stir.
  6. 6. Add Ginger garlic paste
  7. 7. Then add onion and fry well
  8. 8. Lower the gas and add yoghurt
  9. 9. Than add tomato puree
  10. 10. Add turmeric, red chilli, cumin powder-, coriander powder, salt and mix
  11. 11. Cook on medium heat and then add water
  12. 12. Bring it to boil and then add milk
  13. 13. Now add kasuri meehi-, nutmeg powder-and garam masala-
  14. 14. Add tofu and stir
  15. 15. Cook for 5-7 mins on medium heat
  16. 16. Garnish with coriander
