Papaya Jam

Ingredients to make Papaya Jam

  • 1 ripe papaya
  • 1 orange
  • sugar as required
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

How to make Papaya Jam

  1. Peel and chop the papaya, then make a puree of it.
  2. Squeeze the orange juice from the orange. Keep aside.
  3. Heat a non-stick pan and add the papaya puree and orange juice, bring it to boil. Now add the sugar (I used 1 cup sugar for 2 cups of puree).
  4. Cover and let it cook for 10 mins.
  5. Now add the vanilla essence and cook on a high flame. Continue stirring till the water evaporates.
  6. Let it cool, then store in a clean and dry bottle in the refrigerator.

My Tip:

The roasted sliced pistas add a great taste to it.
