#Teddy Bear Cookies

Ingredients to make #Teddy Bear Cookies

  • For the white part:
  • all purpose flour 1/2 cup
  • butter 1/4 cup
  • Castor sugar 1/4 cup
  • salt a pinch
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • For the Brown part:
  • all purpose flour 1/2 cup
  • Coco powder 1/4 cup
  • butter 1/4 cup
  • Castor sugar 1/4 cup
  • salt a pinch
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp
  • For decoration :
  • chocolate chips 1 tsp
  • Molten white chocolate

How to make #Teddy Bear Cookies

  1. First prepare white dough:
  2. Mix butter and sugar. Add salt and vanilla essence. Add flour and knead into a dough.
  3. Set in the freezer for 15 minutes.
  4. Prepare the brown dough in the same manner. Here, add coco powder along with flour.
  5. Set this dough too in the freezer for 15 minutes. As it becomes easy to handle while rolling.
  6. Now roll out both the doughs, 2 mm to 3 mm thickness separately.
  7. Take two round cutters, one big for white circles and other smaller for brown circles.
  8. Cut circles from both rolled sheets.
  9. Take one white circle and place one brown circle over it at the spot of the mouth of bear.
  10. Take one brown circle cut it into two halves and place them for ears, gently joining to the white circle. On baking they stick automatically.
  11. Use 2 choco chips to spot the eyes. Prepare all teddy bears in similar fashion.
  12. Place them over parchment paper in a baking tray. Bake in pre heated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 12 to 15 minutes.
  13. Take out and let them cool. Mark nose and lips using white chocolate.

My Tip:

If your dough is too dry, to bind use half to one teaspoon of milk.
