Nutella Cookie Pie

Ingredients to make Nutella Cookie Pie

  • 100 gms softened unsalted butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 1/2 - 2 cups all purpose flour (can take all Wholewheat or half-half)
  • 1-2 tbsp Milk at room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup Nutella

How to make Nutella Cookie Pie

  1. Lightly grease your pie dish with a little butter and preheat the oven to 160 degree centigrade (320 F).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugars using an electric mixer for 1-2 minutes until the mixture is pale and creamy.
  3. Add vanilla essence and beat until combined. Add milk and beat again till it mixes well.
  4. Add the sifted flour, baking powder and baking soda. Gently fold using a spatula.
  5. Wrap cookie dough in a cling wrap properly, put it in the refrigerator for an hour or so to chill.
  6. Remove and unwrap the cookie dough, divide it into two parts. Place half of the dough into your greased pie dish and press down to form an even layer throughout the dish.
  7. Spread out the Nutella on top of it with a spatula (leave a slight gap near the edges).
  8. Take small part of the remaining cookie dough, flatten it with your hand and place it on top of the Nutella.
  9. Repeat it with remaining cookie dough untill whole Nutella layer is properly covered.
  10. Place the pie dish in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Remove the cookie pie from the oven and let it cool down for a 10-15 minutes before removing it from the pie dish.
  11. Allow it to cool down on a rack for 10-15 minutes before relishing.

My Tip:

Keep a check on your oven while pie is baking as all ovens work differently. Sugar and Nutella quantity can be increased/decreased as per your taste and liking. You can enjoy this pie hot with vanilla ice-cream or after it cools down. Both ways it tastes amazing.
