Ingredients to make Poached apple

  • 1 apple
  • 1 piece of cinnamon
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Few strands of saffron
  • 2 cups of water

How to make Poached apple

  1. In a heavy bottom pan boil water. Add spices and sugar and bring to a boil.
  2. Peel apple and add in boiling water,simmer covered and cook it for 8-10 minutes.
  3. Switch off the gas,pour it in jar and rest it for 4-5 hours.
  4. Now take out apple and boil sugar syrup again till thick. When thick, pour it on apple and enjoy.
