Chocolate truffle cake

Ingredients to make Chocolate truffle cake

  • For Cake-
  • all purpose flour (apf) 1 1/2 cups
  • Salted butter 1/2 cup (at room temp)
  • sugar 3/4 cup
  • Cocoa powder, unsweetened 1/2 cup
  • eggs 3
  • Baking powder- 1/2 tsp
  • baking soda 1/4 tsp
  • Vanilla essence- 1 tsp
  • Chocolate colour 1 tsp
  • Milk if required for batter
  • oil for greasing
  • For chocolate truffle icing-
  • Dark chocolate 2 cup
  • 1 cup fresh cream
  • For syrup-
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • For garnish-
  • Whipped cream 1/2 cup

How to make Chocolate truffle cake

  1. Beat the eggs with vanilla essence .
  2. Till it becomes fluffy.
  3. Keep aside.
  4. Beat sugar and butter till smooth.
  5. Sieve apf and baking powder,baking soda
  6. Add cocoa powder in apf.
  7. Add wet ingredients In dry ingredients slowly.
  8. If required then add milk.
  9. Blend to make a smooth batter.
  10. Grease the baking tin.
  11. Pour the batter and tap lightly.
  12. Bake in convection mode in microwave for 25 mnts.
  13. Cool on a wire rack.
  14. Cut the cake horizontally in to two equal parts.
  15. Heat the cream in a pan on medium heat for 1 minute.
  16. Stirring continuously
  17. Add chocolate and mix well.
  18. There should not be any remaining lumps.
  19. Keep it cool for 2 mnts.
  20. Heat the water for syrup
  21. Add sugar and mix.
  22. Now apply the sugar syrup with brush syrup on the bottom part of cake.
  23. Spread half qty of chocolate icing.
  24. Sandwich it with top layer of cake.
  25. Apply the sugar syrup again.
  26. Spread the chocolate icing on the top.
  27. Spread it on the sides of cake.
  28. Garnish with beaten cream.
  29. Keep in the fridge to cool.
  30. Cut and serve.
