ABOUT Navratri Specials - Khoya Paneer Jamun RECIPE

Mashed khoya and paneer shaped into dumplings and made into rose flavoured jamuns.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated Khoya 1 cup
  2. Grated paneer 1 cup
  3. Sugar 1 cup
  4. Ghee for Deep Frying
  5. Saffron strands
  6. Cardamom pods
  7. Edward rose petals


  1. Mash the koa not paneer together now roll into a smooth ball and set aside for 10 minutes
  2. Now prepare the sugar syrup of single line consistency
  3. Make small lemon size balls and insert into each ball a cardamom pod, nut and kesar strand. Then roll into smooth balls.
  4. Now deep fry these prepared dumplings one by one in hot ghee, with flame always low, so that the jamuns do not get charred
  5. Now drop one by one these golden brown dumplings into the sugar syrup
  6. Garnish with the left over kesar strands

The jamuns should be poured in hot sugar syrup or cold sugar syrup
