Double Chocolate Mousse

Ingredients to make Double Chocolate Mousse

  • egg whites - 2
  • Powdered sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Whipping cream - 1 cup
  • vanilla extract - 1/2 tsp
  • White chocolate - 1/4 th cup
  • Dark chocolate - 1/4 th cup
  • Chocolate shavings as needed

How to make Double Chocolate Mousse

  1. Heat the egg whites and sugar together in a double boiler, till the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm.
  2. Remove it from heat and whisk it till it is glossy and forms hard peaks.
  3. Add vanilla extract to it and whisk. Keep aside.
  4. Whisk the whipping cream to form fluffy mix and refrigerate to chill.
  5. Now melt the white chocolate & dark chocolate in separate bowls using microwave or double boiler.
  6. Now mix the whipped cream to egg mix. Divide it into 2 parts.
  7. Add the melted dark and white chocolate to the 2 parts above, respectively. Fold in.
  8. Now layer the dessert cups with the mousse using piping bags filled with the 2 mousses.
  9. Chill for atleast 4 hrs, sprinkle grated chocolate and serve.
