Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Chicken 650 gm
  2. Oil 2 tbsp
  3. Water 1/2 cups
  4. Capsicum 2
  5. Onion medium sized 6-7
  6. Ginger paste 2 tsp
  7. Garlic paste 2 tsp
  8. Kadhai masala 4 tsp
  9. Tomato 1
  10. Kaju paste 2 tbsp
  11. Coriander leaves as required
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Sugar as required
  14. Turmeric powder as needed
  15. Kashmiri red chili powder 3/4 tsp
  16. Green chili paste 2 tsp
  17. Dry red chili 2-3

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a kadai.
  2. Add cubed onion and cubed capsicum.
  3. Saute for sometime.
  4. Keep them aside on a plate.
  5. In the same kadai, add dry red chili and onion paste.
  6. Fry them till golden.
  7. Add ginger and garlic paste.
  8. Cook them till the raw smell disappears.
  9. Add tomato paste.
  10. Cook till the raw smell goes away.
  11. Add green chili paste.
  12. Add chicken pieces.
  13. And kadai masala powder (included dry chili, bay leaf, whole garam masala, whole black pepper and kaju 3/4).
  14. Mix with the chicken pieces properly.
  15. Add red chilli powder.
  16. Add salt and turmeric powder.
  17. Cook uncovered for 5-6 minutes.
  18. Then add kaju paste.
  19. Add 1 cup of water.
  20. Cover and cook on a low flame.
  21. When the chicken is almost done, add capsicum and onion pieces.
  22. Mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  23. Then add chopped coriander leaves and sprinkle garam masala.
  24. Ready to serve.
