About Spicy Mutton Korma Recipe

Spicy Korma is really special to me and is my 'Save the Day' dish. There is nothing easier than this dish. It is a mughlai spicy recipe. It's ingredients are full of flavor and meant to give the dish the best aroma and a tingling after taste. The mutton will be soft to just melt in your mouth.

Spicy Mutton Korma

Ingredients to make Spicy Mutton Korma

  • Mutton - 1 Kg (With Bone)
  • curd - 1/2 Kg
  • Desi ghee - 3 tbsp
  • jeera - 1 tsp
  • Green cardamom - 4
  • cloves (Laung) - 5 or 6
  • cinnamon sticks - 2
  • Whole Black pepper - 10 to 15
  • Garam masala - 1 to 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri red chilli powder - 1 to 2
  • Dried red chillies - 4 to 5
  • Dhaniya Powder - 2 tsp
  • turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • ginger Garlic Paste - 2 Tbsp
  • cashew Nuts Whole - 2 tbsp
  • Some raisins. This will be to little offset the spice.
  • Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
  • Black cardamom - 1

How to make Spicy Mutton Korma

  1. Heat a wok pan or a deep dish pan with oil and add all the ingredients.
  2. Mix them well, Cook on high heat, keep it covered for 10 minutes.
  3. Mix again and cover and cook on a low flame for 1 hour. If it is too dry, add little milk and cook for some more time.
  4. Add some Kasuri Methi and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

My Tip:

Mutton with Bone has more flavor than boneless mutton.
