ABOUT Chocolate Mousse RECIPE

An amazing mousee recipe that can be cooked in a jiffy. Absolutely delish!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 300 grams Dark chocolate
  2. 80 grams butter
  3. 2 Egg yolks (keggs)
  4. 7 Egg whites
  5. 2-3 tbsp. Maple syrup or light brown sugar
  6. 1 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, set in a pan with simmering water, melt the chocolate and butter together keep stirring.
  2. Next, whisk in the egg yolks into the chocolate mixture. If you are worried about cooking the egg yolks, then pour the chocolate over the yolks little at a time as you whisk.
  3. In another bowl, add the egg whites and maple syrup and whisk to soft peaks (do not over whip 2-3 minutes).
  4. Fold in the white into the chocolate mixture a third at a time, until completely incorporated and homogenous.
  5. Pour into a bowl or ramekins to make individual portions. Cover with a plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate 3-4 hours, preferably overnight.
  7. Remove the mousse from the fridge 20 minutes before serving for best taste.
  8. You can serve it with caramelised peccans, hazelnuts or walnuts.
