ABOUT Homemade Pineapple Jam RECIPE

Healthy jam made without preservatives and using jaggery. Can be used as a spread on bread or with roti.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 1 pineapple
  2. 1 1/2 cup jaggery
  3. 2 tbsp Sugar
  4. 1/4 tsp clove powder
  5. I/4 tsp nutmeg powder
  6. Juice of a lime


  1. Cut pineapple into chunks and puree into a blender for just four to five times till coarsely blended.
  2. This is approximately 2 big cups.
  3. In a thick bottomed pot heat up this puree for about 10 min. To this add the jaggery and sugar and keep stirring over medium heat until the mixture thickens.
  4. Add the powders and cook till moisture is the right consistency.
  5. Put off flame and then add juice of a lime.
  6. Pack into a glass jar when cooled.
