Ingredients to make Chicken Rezala(white chicken korma)

  • chicken 1kg
  • Chopped onion 1 cup
  • ginger garlic paste 2tsp
  • Green chili paste 2tsp
  • Salt & sugar as per teste
  • Yougurt 1/2 cup
  • Poppy seed paste 2tbsp
  • Melon seed paste 2tbsp
  • cashew PASTE 1TBSP
  • clarified butter 1/2 cup
  • bay leaf 2 no.
  • Whole garam masala
  • cumin powder 1 tsp
  • coriander powder 1 tsp

How to make Chicken Rezala(white chicken korma)

  1. Take a bowl add chicken pieces, yoghurt, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, green chili paste. Mix it and leave it for minimum 1 hour.
  2. Heat clarified butter. Add bay leaf, whole garam masala, chopped onion. Fry a little until it becomes golden brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and a little bit water to it. Cook for 5 mins in a low flame.
  4. Add the chicken mixture to it. Mix properly a cover with a lid. Cook for 30 min.
  5. Add water & cook for another 30 mins.
  6. When the chicken get well cooked add poppy seed paste, cashew paste, melon seed paste and sugar to it.
  7. Turn Off the gas and give it a standing time. Serve with pulao or jeera rice..

My Tip:

You can use white oil instead of ghee.. for better result marinade the chicken for overnight.
