Ingredients to make Apple coconut burfi

  • 3 apple, peeled and grated
  • 3/4 cup dessicated coconut
  • 1 1/2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom Powder
  • 2 tbsp pistachio chopped
  • Few saffron strands soaked in milk

How to make Apple coconut burfi

  1. In a pan dry roast dessicated coconut and keep aside.
  2. In the same pan, add ghee and grated apple and saute it till all the water gets dried up.
  3. Add coconut, sugar, milk powder, cardamom powder and saffron and mix well on low flame till it leaves the sides of pan and comes whole as a lump.
  4. Take out in a greased pan and flatten with the back of spoon. Garnish with pistachios.
  5. Let it cool at room temperature, and then put in slits when little cool.
  6. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours, then take out and separate into pieces.
