Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Tomato 1 medium sized
  2. Onion 1 medium sized
  3. Green chilli 2 nos
  4. Coriander one handful
  5. Lemon 1/2 tsp
  6. Tamarind extract 1 tbsp
  7. Jaggery 4 tbsp
  8. Red chilli powder, just a pinch
  9. Chat masala 1/4 tsp
  10. Dry mango powder, just a pinch
  11. Salt as per taste
  12. Puffed rice 2 tbsp
  13. Thin sev 2 tsp
  14. Roasted peanuts 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. Slice the tomatoes into thin slices.
  2. Grind the green chillies, coriander, lemon juice and salt together to make the green chutney.
  3. Mix the tamarind extract, jaggery, salt and chilli powder together and dilute it with some water.
  4. Boil the tamarind mixture till it thickens to make the sweet chutney.
  5. Arrange the tomato slices on a plate, smear the green chutney and sweet chutney on one side of the tomatoes.
  6. Add the chopped onion and grated carrot on top.
  7. Sprinkle some chat masala, salt, red chilli powder on top and spread some roasted peanuts on top.
  8. Spread some puffed rice on top, then sprinkle the thin sev and serve it.
