Spicy Basil Chicken

Ingredients to make Spicy Basil Chicken

  • Boneless chicken 500 gm
  • egg 1
  • Corn flour 3 tbsp
  • Salt and pepper as per taste
  • red chilli paste 2 tsp
  • red chilli sauce 1 tsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tsp
  • tomato ketchup 2 tsp
  • vinegar 1 tsp
  • sugar 1 tsp
  • Dry basil leaves 1 tbsp
  • spring onions 1/4 cup
  • Chopped ginger and garlic 1 tsp
  • Dry red chilli - 1
  • Refined oil- as required

How to make Spicy Basil Chicken

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with the egg, corn flour, salt, pepper for at least 1 hour. Then deep fry them in refined oil and keep aside.
  2. Make a mixture of the red chilli paste, red chilli sauce, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and sugar together.
  3. Now in a pan, heat some oil, then add in the chopped ginger and garlic followed by the chopped spring onions.
  4. Next, pour in the sauce mixture and saute on a high flame, then add in the fried chicken. Next, add in the basil leaves and stir for a minute.
  5. Serve it hot.
