A pizza dough and pizza dish that is totally homemade.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Ingredients for the pizza dough:
  2. Maida/ Flour: 2 cups
  3. salt to taste
  4. Baking powder: 2 tsp
  5. Oregano: 2 tbsp
  6. Oil: 4 tbsp
  7. water as needed to knead the soft dough
  8. Ingredients for cheese burst pizza:
  9. Pizza dough to make the base
  10. Onion: 1 cut into thin and round circles
  11. tomato : 1 sliced
  12. capsicum : 1 sliced
  13. salt to taste
  14. Black pepper to taste
  15. tomato ketchup as needed
  16. chilli flakes as needed
  17. Mozzarella cheese: 2 cups grated
  18. Oregano as needed

Instructions

  1. For pizza dough, in a bowl add in the maida, salt, baking powder, oregano and oil. Mix it well so that the oil combines properly.
  2. Now pour in water little by little and knead a soft dough. Cover it and keep aside for 30 minutes.
  3. Divide the dough into 6 balls, 3 of big size and 3 in small size. Also cut the veggies and keep it aside.
  4. Line a tray with foil paper and grease it with oil. Now put the tray in an oven on the middle rack and preheat at 250 degrees celsius.
  5. Now take 1 big dough ball, roll it like a 1/2 inch thick chapati. Then keep it aside. Then take 1 small dough ball, roll it like a chapati, smaller then the one rolled earlier.
  6. Now take out the hot tray from the oven. Spread the big chapati on the tray, then spread the tomato ketchup on it. Now spread the mozzarella cheese over it and cover it with a small chapati. Fold the sides and seal it properly.
  7. Now pierce the top of the chapati with a fork and spread the tomato ketchup, then place the onion, tomato and capsicum. Now sprinkle salt, black pepper, oregano, chilli flakes on the pizza. Drizzle little oil on the sides and centre of the pizza.
  8. Place it in oven on the middle rack and bake for 10-12 minutes. Then take it out from the oven and spread mozzarella cheese all over the baked pizza. Place it on the top rack and grill it for 4-5 minutes.
  9. Take it out from the oven and place it in a serving plate. Sprinkle oregano and chilli flakes and serve.
