ABOUT Sugdi RECIPE

Very healthy and tasty traditional dish with the goodness of gur, ajwain and almonds. Keeps the warm ad strong during winters.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Whole wheat flour - 1cup
  2. Almonds - 12-15
  3. Ajwain - 2tsp
  4. Jaggery - 1/2 cup chopped
  5. Ghee - 3tbsp ( heaped)
  6. Cashewnuts and raisins - Optional

Instructions

  1. Roast whole wheat flour on slow fire till it turns brown.
  2. Add ajwain and chopped almonds in flour while roasting.
  3. In another pan add ghee and when it is warm add chopped jaggery.
  4. When the jaggery melts, quickly add the flour and mix it well. You have to do this fast because otherwise the flour will become hard and will be like a lump.
  5. Take it out in a bowl and garnish it will other dry nuts. This is purely optional.
