ABOUT Shahi Tukda RECIPE

Shahi tukda also known as "double ka meetha"means bread dessert!Its a beautiful Indiandessert,mughlai favorite that combines with fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with the sweetness of sugar and aroma of cardamom.

Ingredients Serving: 2

White bread - 2 slices(cut each bread into 4 triangles)
Condensed milk - 1/2 cup
Milk - 2 tbsp
cornflour powder - 1 tsp
water - 2 to 3 tbsp
Green cardamompowder - 1 tsp
almonds for garnishing(finely chopped)
Refined oil or desi ghee for deep frying.

Instructions

Firstly prepare the thick milk .
Take a pan,put it on a low flame.
Add condensed milk in the pan .
Now take a small bowl add 2 to 3 tbsp water and add cornflour powder in it and mix it,now pour this in the condensed milk and stir it.
Now quickly add cardamom powder and milk in it.
If the concoction is too thick add milk ,if its liquidy add cornflour.
Mix it for few 3 to 4 minutes and switch off the flame.keep aside
Take another wok add oil or ghee and let it heat properly.
Put the slices of bread in the hot oil or ghee and fry it,till it turns golden crispy.
Now take the bread out and pour the thick milk on the bread.
Garnish it with few chopped almonds.Enjoy your crispy Shahi Tukda.
