ABOUT Tangy Fruit Chaat RECIPE

This recipe was invented for a rainy day snack. We cannot fry snacks like Pakodas and Cutlets everyday owing to health reasons. The idea is to make a yummy & a tummy filling recipe which will do only good for us. So here comes a fruit chaat which is full of fibre, tastes divine and wonderful for health. So next time on a rainy afternoon try this out and enjoy a guilt free and delicious dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fruits for this recipe:
  2. 1 big Apple(Red Delicious Fuji or Washington) – chopped
  3. 100 gms - red Grapes(big ones halved)
  4. 1 big Pear – chopped in quarters
  5. 1 big or 2 small Bananas – sliced
  6. 1 Kiwi Fruit – the brown hairy skin peeled and chopped
  7. 2 tbsp - Pomegranate pearls
  8. The spice powders:
  9. 2 tsp Rock Salt (Sendha Namak)
  10. 1 tsp rosted Cumin Seeds powder(Jeera)
  11. 1 & 1/2 tsp powdered sugar
  12. Ingredients for extra taste:
  13. 2 Green chilies – very finely minced
  14. 1 tbsp very finely chopped Coriander Leaves (optional)
  15. 1 tbsp fresh Lemon Juice


  1. Put all the chopped fruits except Pomegranate pearls in a large bowl.
  2. Add the spice powders and the Green Chilies. Mix in the lemon juice.Toss very well to mix.
  3. Spoon four equal portions of the fruit mix into four Chaat plates and sprinkle with the Pomegranate pearls!
  4. Serve with fancy fruit forks or toothpicks,exactly as you would serve any Chaat! Enjoy to the utmost by having one piece of fruit at a time!
