Ingredients to make Florentines

  • Cornflakes - 1 cup
  • Chopped pineapples - 1/2 cup
  • Chopped prunes - 1/4 th cup
  • walnuts (coarsely chopped) - 1/4 th cup
  • almonds (coarsely chopped) - 1/4 th cup
  • sultanas/Kismis - 1/4 th cup
  • Condensed milk - 1/3 rd cup
  • ginger powder - 1/8th tsp
  • Dark chocolate - 125 gm

How to make Florentines

  1. Mix everything together except the chocolate.
  2. Line a baking tray with butter paper.
  3. Put a ladle of the mixture each with little gap between each other.
  4. Bake them for 10-12 minutes in a preheated oven at 170.
  5. Cool them. Mean while, melt the chocolate using a double boiler or microwave.
  6. Now apply the melted chocolate on the back of each Florentine and let the chocolate set.
  7. Serve.
